Pedalling For Peacock

Lightcliffe Škoda have recently embarked on a new “Pedalling for Peacock” campaign to support their dear friend and colleague Lewis, who has been diagnosed with leukaemia.

 

After a few days brainstorming a variety of ideas, they decided to set a collective target to run or cycle 2020 miles before the end of July which equates to approximately 80 miles per employee over 26 days. 

 

At the same time a Just Giving page was set up with a cash target to raise £2020 for Leukaemia UK and an email was sent out to all customers notifying them of the campaign.

 

So, on Monday morning, trainers were laced, and bicycles dusted off……and 124 miles were covered on the first day…the race had definitely started!

 

Colleagues, friends and their families got the fundraising off to a great start and the extra support from our customers in response to an email sent yesterday was quite simply overwhelming. 

 

Just 48 hours after the start of the campaign, the Just Giving page was showing that the target had nearly been hit with a staggering £2000 raised already.
