Škoda Steps Up Production To Meet Growing Demand

Škoda Auto has announced a major increase in global production, underlining the strong demand for its latest models and its continued investment in future mobility.

In 2025, Škoda produced 1,065,000 vehicles worldwide, representing a 15% year-on-year increase. In addition, the manufacturer built more than 329,000 battery systems for Škoda electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles – as well as for other brands within the Volkswagen Group – alongside over 1,030,000 transmissions and more than 500,000 engines.

At the brand’s main production site in Mladá Boleslav, a total of 605,600 Škoda vehicles rolled off the production lines during the year.

Electric vehicles continue to be a key driver of this growth. The new all-electric compact SUV Elroq reached 112,500 vehicles produced since series production began in January 2025, while the larger all-electric Enyaq followed with around 77,000 units built.

Škoda is also strengthening its international manufacturing network. A new plant has opened in Vietnam in partnership with Thanh Cong Group, where the Slavia and Kushaq models are now assembled. In India, output rose significantly too, driven by strong demand for the Kylaq SUV.

The success follows Škoda’s expansion of production capacity in 2024 and marks a major milestone for the brand. For the first time in six years, Škoda has exceeded one million vehicles produced in a single year – a clear reflection of the commitment and teamwork of its global manufacturing teams.

Here at Lightcliffe Škoda, this is very positive news for our customers. Stronger production and expanding facilities across the Škoda network help us support shorter lead times, better availability of popular models, and an ever-growing choice of electric and electrified vehicles.

And finally, from all of us at Lightcliffe Škoda – thank you for your continued support. We’re proud to represent a brand that is growing with confidence and investing in the future, and we look forward to welcoming you soon and helping you find your next Škoda.

Lightcliffe Skoda Warrington is a trading style of Clare James Automotive limited which is an Appointed Representative of Automotive Compliance Ltd, who is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA No 497010). Automotive Compliance Ltd’s permissions as a Principal Firm allow Clare James Automotive Limited to act as a credit broker, not as a lender, for the introduction to a limited number of lenders and to act as an agent on behalf of the insurer for insurance distribution activities only.
We can introduce you to a selected panel of lenders, which includes Volkswagen Financial Services. An introduction to a lender does not amount to independent financial advice and we act as their agent for this introduction. Our approach is to introduce you first to Volkswagen Financial Services, who are usually able to offer the best available package for you, taking into account both interest rates and other contributions. If they are unable to make you an offer of finance, we then seek to introduce you to whichever of the other lenders on our panel is able to make the next best offer of finance for you. Our aim is to secure the best deal you are eligible for from our panel of lenders. Lenders may pay a fixed commission to us for introducing you to them, calculated by reference to the vehicle model or amount you borrow. Different lenders may pay different commissions for such introductions, and Volkswagen Financial Services also provide preferential rates to us for the funding of our vehicle stock and also provide financial support for our training and marketing. But any such amounts they and other lenders pay us will not affect the amounts you pay under your finance agreement, all of which are set by the lender concerned. If you ask us what the amount of commission is, we will tell you in good time before the Finance agreement is executed. All finance applications are subject to status, terms, and conditions apply, UK residents only, 18’s or over. Guarantees may be required.
