Is An Ex Demo The Car For You?

Even though there’s only one week to go for the Lightcliffe Ex-demo sale New Car Sales Manager Kav felt it was worthy of its own news item, and here it is!

For those of you who have never considered an ex-demo as an option, Kav sat down with fellow managers Mike and Phil put their collective heads together to come up with some of the merits and key benefits. The hope is that you will find these gems of wisdom useful while you ponder what for most of us is the second largest purchase we will make after a house.

Here’s whet the fab 3 came up with:

Price Reduction - Ex-demo cars are often sold at a discounted price, sometimes significantly lower than the original retail price, so the dealership has in effect absorbed the initial depreciation.

High Specification - Dealerships often use high-spec models as demos, meaning you might get features and options that would be extra on a new purchase.

Excellent Condition - Ex-demo cars are meticulously maintained by the dealership and often have very low mileage. They are typically in top condition, having been valeted regularly for showroom display and test drives.

Remaining Warranty - Most ex-demo cars come with a remaining balance of the manufacturer's warranty, offering peace of mind and potential cost savings.

Immediate Availability - Ex-demo cars are readily available for purchase, unlike some new models which might require a long wait for factory orders.

Warranty Period – Even though the warranty period starts from the car's first registration date, thee will probably still be well over two years remaining.

Potential for Hidden Issues to be exposed – Even with the incredible standards of QA employed by Skoda, some niggles do slip though the net, but these will almost certainly get picked up during the demo period.

Apart from all the usual managers discounts on offer there is also an extra £1000 finance deposit contribution available for all of these cars so for anyone considering treating themselves, an ex-demo might well be worth a look!

Lightcliffe Skoda Warrington is a trading style of Clare James Automotive limited which is an Appointed Representative of Automotive Compliance Ltd, who is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA No 497010). Automotive Compliance Ltd’s permissions as a Principal Firm allow Clare James Automotive Limited to act as a credit broker, not as a lender, for the introduction to a limited number of lenders and to act as an agent on behalf of the insurer for insurance distribution activities only.
We can introduce you to a selected panel of lenders, which includes Volkswagen Financial Services. An introduction to a lender does not amount to independent financial advice and we act as their agent for this introduction. Our approach is to introduce you first to Volkswagen Financial Services, who are usually able to offer the best available package for you, taking into account both interest rates and other contributions. If they are unable to make you an offer of finance, we then seek to introduce you to whichever of the other lenders on our panel is able to make the next best offer of finance for you. Our aim is to secure the best deal you are eligible for from our panel of lenders. Lenders may pay a fixed commission to us for introducing you to them, calculated by reference to the vehicle model or amount you borrow. Different lenders may pay different commissions for such introductions, and Volkswagen Financial Services also provide preferential rates to us for the funding of our vehicle stock and also provide financial support for our training and marketing. But any such amounts they and other lenders pay us will not affect the amounts you pay under your finance agreement, all of which are set by the lender concerned. If you ask us what the amount of commission is, we will tell you in good time before the Finance agreement is executed. All finance applications are subject to status, terms, and conditions apply, UK residents only, 18’s or over. Guarantees may be required.
