Surprise Guest Delights The Tour De France Crowd
There was a great deal of excitement this last week as new addition to the Skoda range which is eagerly awaited made it official debut. As a long-standing official main partner, Škoda Auto provided the organising team with 205 Škoda vehicles, including "red cars", an all-electric Enyaq and a new plug-in-hybrid Superb Combi, that were used by the race director Christian Prudhomme to lead the peloton.
To the delight of the crowd, Škoda prepared an unexpected surprise for the final stage namely a camouflaged Elroq which was the first time it ever being shown in public.
With its distinguished looks, this new compact SUV is the first Škoda model to adopt Modern Solid, the brand’s new design language that takes the exterior design of the entire portfolio even further. The car that joined the racers in the final stage was camouflaged, as its official premiere will not take place until this autumn.
New general manager Nick was effusive about the new car. “The stats about this car present what we are calling the “Goldilocks” combo. Performance and style are a given for any new Skoda these days but the fact that it can be charged in 28 minutes and deliver nearly 350 miles on a full charge will be the game changer.”
All the staff at Lightcliffe are gearing up for a busy test drive schedule this Autumn when this new supercar finally arrives!
