ŠKODA SCALA in Warrington Cheshire
The ŠKODA SCALA is a friend of the family with bundles of space, useful technologies and striking good looks. 1.0 TSI and 1.5 TSI engines are available with up to 150PS and the option of a DSG transmission. The 1.5 TSI DSG has 250Nm of torque for effortless acceleration and returns up to 48.7mpg combined. As standard, all versions have cruise control, rear parking sensors, automatic LED headlights and hill hold control. Trims include SE, SE Technology, SE L and Monte Carlo. SE L boasts 17” Stratos alloys, 9.2” Amundsen navigation with Wireless SmartLink for Apple CarPlay, Virtual Cockpit, a rear-view camera and Microsuede upholstery. Monte Carlo gets upgraded 18” Vega alloy wheels, a panoramic glass roof, a roof spoiler, sportier bumpers and ŠKODA lettering on the tailgate in black. Optional extras include Travel Assist with Lane Assist+ and adaptive cruise control (ACC), and the Winter pack with heated front seats and a heated windscreen.
Design
The SCALA’s extended wheelbase, sporty stance and sleek body give it purpose and sophistication. LED headlights come as standard, with Monte Carlo models boasting gloss black exterior styling a leather sports steering wheel.
Drive
Quiet, refined and powerful, the SCALA delivers an understated driving experience. The 1.0 TSI 110PS engine has 200Nm of torque, while the 1.5 TSI 150PS engine has 250Nm of torque and an impressive 0-62mph time of 8.2 seconds with the DSG.
Practicality
With 467-litres of boot space and an extended wheelbase, the SCALA beats other family hatchbacks for outright space. Fold down the 60-40 seats and the boot expands to 1,410-litres, rivalling many cars in the class above.
Living with it
The SCALA’s refined nature and abundant space make it perfect as a daily driver, with all versions from SE Connect getting the top-spec 9.2” touchscreen system and front and rear parking sensors to make life that little bit easier.
